Microwave Leakage Testing

Testing is required annually.

Using testing instruments specifically designed to measure and test all aspects as per guidelines set out by the Radiation Health Committee and Australian Standard AS/NZS 60335.2.25.

The Radiation Health Committee states that the allowable Microwave radiation leakage limit for microwave ovens may not exceed 50W/m2 (5mW/cm2) “Radiation Health Committee – Radiation Health Series Publication No 17”.

AS/NZS 60335.2.25 states under routine tests “…The energy flux density of microwave leakage is measured at any point approximately 50mm from the external surface of the appliance…” and shall not exceed 50W/m2 (5mW/cm2).

Test for:

• Radiation Leakage Density
• External Damage
• Power Output

We test to ensure omitting Radiation levels are kept at a safe level as set by the Radiation Health Committee.
